The Killingworth Foundation is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to increasing the amount and the impact of local philanthropy in order to enhance the quality of life for the citizens and the
community of Killingworth, Connecticut.
Since 2007, The Killingworth Foundation has been building a charitable endowment to serve the citizens and the community of Killingworth. Our funds come from individual and group donations, and bequests from people who appreciate the continuity and flexibility that a permanent philanthropic foundation provides.
The Killingworth Foundation will provide seed money for new services and will fill needs not being met by other organizations or sources. In general, we will grant funds for special purposes, including buildings, equipment, land, and programs, but we will not commit the Foundation to recurring expenses.
Individuals or organizations making gifts or bequests to The Killingworth Foundation can be assured they have made a contribution that will be of enduring benefit to the town.

Our Current Campaign
The Killingworth Foundation announces a new campaign called “100 X 100” which will help the Foundation achieve its goal of enhancing the quality of life for the people of Killingworth.
“100 x 100” seeks the contribution of $100 by 100 donors who will be investing in our town to make special programs possible through grants to non-profit organizations.
Last spring the Foundation received a generous leadership donation from the Killingworth Lions Club and now seeks to show community support by matching that same amount from individual donations. The money received will be spent exclusively in Killingworth during 2009 to encourage community spirit and enrichment.
